Folkmanis Puppet Fluffy Cat

I was really looking forward to getting this puppet, because the picture shows the cat looking like he has a real attitude. He looks tough and a bit grumpy. He has personality.

The cat puppet I received has a big smile on his face, a wonky nose, and happy-looking eyes. He's thinner than shown and his face isn't flat -- it's quite pointy like a regular house cat (non-persian).

He's cute in his own way, but he's almost opposite in facial expression to the cat in the picture. He looks happy and a little dense, which is not the personality I was looking for.

Does this all sound silly? Yeah, I guess so. But I thought I had finally found a cat puppet that could play a grumpy guy! He's definitely cute in his own way, though.

This is an adorable toy!!! The mouth, feet, and and hands move. Is a little smaller than picture but is unbelivebly furry and his hands and feet feel like suede. Even has little cut-out paw prints on the pads of feet and a sticky-outtie tounge! Eyes are yellowish-green. Is exellent in mobility. Great for story-telling!

Received and returned Ms. Fat Cat. Her fur was too rough, and ours seemed to have been sewn a little defectively, with fur too close to one eye, covering it persistently, despite my attempts to manipulate that. Also the fur near top of her head sewn in a very triangular shape, rather than rounded. Her legs splayed a bit far with puppet on (or off) and attempts to hold feet in place. Also her feet/paws stuffed to a hardness that when moved around was more like a deceased cat (I don't even want to say dead cat, but that's what it made me think of). Also, her face and cheeks are similarly hard and stuffed, with a very hard and very small mouth, too tough to manipulate. (This is unlike many of the other Folkmanis puppets.) She has a little tongue that is like a piece of fabric or paper stuck in the mouth, supposed to make it cute or interesting, but it wasn't. (Cannot manipulate the tongue.) I had thought her fat cat body would be cute or cuddly in some manner, but she was entirely (and sadly for us) unappealing to my two little children as well. Perhaps all of this sounds fussy, but she just didn't make our cut. We enjoy several other Folkmanis puppets.

I love big fat cats. We have 2 real ones at home. When we had our daughter last year I knew we had to get her a big stuffed cat but couldn't find any really cute ones. When I saw this guy I was smitten. It's not just a stuffed animal but a puppet too! I remember as a child absolutely loving puppets so 5 stars goes to this cute fat kitty!

This puppet looks good enough to use on stage, but more importantly my little brother really loved it. He was two at the time and is now going on four and he still has this puppet. Our baby sister is starting to play with it now too. It's as huggable as a stuffed animal, but you can make it talk and eat (not recommended) and practically come alive.

I absolutely LOVE this cat! It took me a little while to understand how to work the mouth but once i realized to work the lower mouth only his face became super expressive. This puppet is adorable. His arms AND legs can be moved from inside and I just love the wide range of facial expressions that can be made. I noticed one reviewer mentioning that he wished the kitty looked angrier but by moving the lower mouth up a bit you can definitely get that nasty kitty expression. I think most negative comments came from people who didn't attempt to work with the puppet long enough to realize it's potential. I love it and so does my 3 year old son.

It looks great, really funny, but the movable mouth is useless. It's too small and the way your fingers position in it makes it almost impossible to move. I wanted something that I could make "talk" so I am returning it.

I bought this hand puppet for my 3 year old grandson's birthday. My daughter said that he loves it. It is well made and durable. It arrived very quickly. Thanks!

My daughter (15 mo old) first found this cat puppet at a toy store while we were on vacation and it hasn't left her side since. I bought another from amazon.com as a back up in case she ever loses one. I would say that this is a very durable toy, especially since my daughter, for some reason, loves to bite out its fur. Any way, it's an awesome toy that I think any toddler who likes cats would really love.
