I received a pair of these squirrel finger puppets for Christmas a couple years ago. I put them on my Amazon wish list as a "nice to have" -- and I am glad I got them! They are so stinking cute, soft, and fairly durable. Granted I will not let my cat anywhere near them for fear of the cat thinking that these little toys are REAL. The tail is extremely realistic looking. The fur is very soft and does not matte with normal wear and tear. If there is one downside it would be that the tail can shed a little bit. I would recommend getting these for anyone who loves squirrels, stuffed animals, or finger puppets.

May 2010 update:
For those interested in the "fit" of the puppet - I have relatively small hands (in latex gloves I wear a small to a medium) and the puppet itself fits loose on my fingers. You cannot control the arms or legs. With child-sized hands the puppet is obviously large, but I have seen kids play with the puppet more like any other stuffed animal/toy. There is enough filling/body to the toy that it still feels like a regular stuffed animal. The eyes do not scratch-up and the detailed felt used for the paws is extremely durable. I would not recommend washing this in the washing machine as the tail hairs may not survive. Still very happy with these puppets!

This little finger puppet is the cutest thing I have ever seen! It's large enough to not look like a regular finger puppet, but it's small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. It looks EXACTLY the way it does in the picture. I absolutely love this little thing!

Folkmanis Mini Squirrel Finger Puppet

This toy provided many hours of fun for children and grownups alike.

This would be a great gift for kids age 2-5 especially. It's a cute very real looking puppet that fits on your finger, and with a little imagination and clever finger movements takes on a life like appearance. The puppet is of very high quality. I wouldn't say it's exactly an educational toy, but it is one that gives play to the imagination, and it's innocent fun.

We love all these cute finger puppets! The little woodland animals are so realistic and fun to play with. They work well as teaching tools, too, and for use in telling stories. I have children of various ages, and they all love these!
