This is a really cute hedgehog finger puppet: I'd say its quality is a bit better than those mini Beanie babies (fast food toys) from a few years ago, but not as good as the real Beanie baby animals. When I got mine, his yarn "spines" were (and still are) a bit smushed from being mailed in an envelope, but it's not very noticeable and will probably go away. He is a really charming and fat little guy though, and works as a stuffed animal (albeit a small one, about 4 inches long and 3 inches high). I love him. However, he won't last long if given to a small child who is rough with his/her toys.

One of the details I like best is that Folkmanis used different material for this puppet versus the Folkmanis Mini Porcupine Finger Puppet, so, even though my son has both, he could tell from day one which one was which.

My main reason for buying him the hedgehog was because it made a great addition to The Wonder Pets Save the Hedgehog! (Wonder Pets!).

Even his Nana liked it; it reminded her of the ones in England.

This time I won the bet. Folkmanis's mini hedgehog holds in your hand. Compared to the other puppets, it is the perfect size (and price!). Conclusion, it is sometimes if not often useful to try the mini size. Claude

I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend. She likes hedgehogs so I said why not. She absolutely loves it. Recommended!

This is a well made toy. If a child is really young you might have some toy eye concerns. I got this to go with my Alice in Wonderland outfit. Remember Alice playing with the Queen of Hearts a crochet game ? How they used flamingos for the mallets and the hedgehog rolled up as the balls ? I did find a plushy flamingo
and then I found the hedgehog.

As a former Kdg. teacher, I used this puppet w/ stories for young children. It is a darling puppet. What's more it looked like the character in my book. I was glad that it was soft.

I love this hedgehog puppet; it looks so cute and it came so quickly in the mail! :) Great quality, durable, and will make a great gift.

I got this furry little critter for my 5 mth. old grandson and it is the cutest little hedgehog! He's soft, plush, and has a finger slot on his underside for using as a finger puppet. I want one too! :-)

This is a very cute little puppet. The picture shows you in a hand of an adult. It is just the right size for a child's finger though. Folkmannis puppets are very sturdy, very will made. This is 'full of stuffing' and full enough to be used like a stuffed animal but then it could be a puppet. Very adorable.

Love puppets especially quality puppets and they mke great ones - fun to sure and great sensory toy with it's texture loads of fun.
