This review is from: Folktales of the Jews, Vol. 1: Tales from the Sephardic Dispersion (Hardcover)
In 1909 the Jewish Publication Society published the first volume of Ginzberg's LEGENDS OF THE JEWS, a collection of rabbinic stories still a foundation pick today - here is a gathering of the folktales of ordinary Jewish people - the first in a projected 6-volume set - which also serves as a landmark publication key to any comprehensive Jewish literature collection. It gathers stories which have been passed down between generations and which hold wisdom and insights into moral, ethical and cultural struggles. Highly recommended.
