About the Author
Nearly a decade ago, after teaching a tenth grade CCD class which integrated the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary into the Bible Study course curriculum, Christine Haapala, the author, thought "What if there is a connection between the 150 Psalms and 150 Hail Marys of the Rosary?" In the Catechism of the Catholic Church this connection is explained as "Medieval piety in the West developed the prayer of the rosary as a popular substitute for the Liturgy of the Hours." (CCC 2678) Based on this inspiration, the author completed and, then, published her first book From Genesis to Revelation: Seven Scriptural Rosaries. Since that book she has written numerous Scriptural Prayer books - Rosary, Divine Mercy, Eucharistic Adoration and now this Stations of the Cross book for Children. Again, Christine Haapala and Gus Muller collaborate. Their first book, Speak, Lord, I am Listening A Rosary book - has been on the Catholic Children's best selling list three times - as compiled by the Catholic Book Publishers Association. Gus Muller, after retiring from a civil engineering career, fulfilled a life long desire to study art and paint seriously. It wasn t long before he discovered his interest and talent for watercolors and in the creative effects he could achieve with the medium s transparent paints. He specializes mainly in landscapes, seascapes, florals and portraits.
