Editorial Reviews

Jay Rock is set to release his Strange Music debut album, Follow Me Home, and cement his place at the forefront of the New West movement. As the premiere artist with Top Dawg Entertainment, the Watts native made a name for himself through mixtapes and caught the attention of XXL Magazine (which named him one of their Top Ten Freshmen) as well as that of Tech N9ne and Strange Music. Follow Me Home features musical heavyweights like Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Rick Ross and will.i.am. With songs like "Hood's Gonna Love It" and "All My Life", Jay Rock is able to convey an honest grit through an intelligent storytelling that separates Jay Rock from so many other artists. Jay Rock brings a hard-edged yet accessible sound that's straight from the streets.

welcome jay rock!!! July 26, 2011
Format:Audio CD
First off, been a rap listener for many years! So I know good rap music when I hear it.

Jay rock is an awesome artist who sounds similar to The Game, but has an edge because of a more expansive vocab use. No disrespect to The Game, but I feel jay rock is a slight bit more lyrically talented.

The new west coast has arrived, signed by a KC label, strange! Tech n9ne did real good by signing this guy, and everything sounds authentic. Jay rock and co. Deliver memorable tracks like lifes a gamble and I'm thuggin, and its also got some fun tracks like number 13.

Overall, its a great album for a debut. You like that good rap music west coast style, trust homie, this is it right now! Now I get show off what a great music enthusiast I am! Lol

Peace,

West Coast Classic! July 26, 2011
Format:MP3 Download
This is an amazing album, song for song. Jay Rock depicts tales from the ghetto better than any rapper out there. Definitely buy this one if you're looking for a throw back to original west coast gangsta rap!!

the album was good solid ..............alot better than most of the crap out there right now......i just feel that some of the songs started sounding the same.......and i was really let down by follow me home not being a track...or lift me up not on this album........i didnt care for the westside with chris brown..that was the weakest on the whole album..but other than that it was a good album..i think it just was missing something
