Lucas and Dylan are two guys you just fall in love with the moment you get to know them. The love Lucas has for his sister is like no other. The time Lucas and Dylan share together is beyond romantic and what a vacation romance should be. Can't wait to start book 2 Under the Sun.

Lucas Madison works a lot. Morgan Municipal has helped him support himself and his younger sister Tasha. But working eighteen hour days, seven days a week has taken a toll on his thirty-two year old body. He has ulcers, high blood pressure, and just plain stress from the demands of this job. When his sister’s wedding gave him an opportunity for to get away to the Sapphire Cay in the Bahamas, Lucas took it. Two weeks in the sun was what the doctor ordered in order to help rejuvenate him.

When the wedding party boarded the Sapphire cay boat named Lady Liberty, they were greeted by tour guide Dylan. Then once on the beach, they were served drinks by the bartender Dylan. Then during the rehearsals, their photographs were taken by the photographer Dylan…yep, Jack of all trades! You see Dylan, is a cancer survivor, who spent most of his childhood in and out of hospitals. Now he lives for the moment, not taking life for granted. So begins a two-week fling between the workaholic and the free spirited nomad on the Sapphire Cay beach. However, what happens after the two weeks, when Lucas has to leave paradise and return to Morgan Municipal, leaving Dylan at Sapphire Cay? Will their priorities change?

This one was a sweet angst free story. If you want a straight shooting, no drama or miscommunications, then this love story is for you. The authors really made the story satisfying. I could easily imagine myself on that Bahamian island, too. The writing was fluid, enjoyable, and engrossing. It was refreshing to see grown men just walk a simple path to love and make the right decisions at the right time. I am not a live by the seat of your pants kind of person, but I admire those who can do it. Lucas and Dylan really make a great couple because they are opposites, so they can keep the other from being too extreme. I cannot tell who the next book will be about, but I can’t wait to read the sequel.

A sweet introductory story for Sapphire Cay. I liked the interactions between the characters and the story line was acceptable, if a bit short.

Follow The Sun was a sweet and gentle story. The blurb says the series is full of romance and drama but in all honesty there wasn't too much drama. The focus is on the emotional side of the story.

Lucas heads to Sapphire Cay to host his sister's wedding at the resort. They are orphans and he has raised her since she was a teenager. Lucas has always had responsibilities, whether it be his sister or the high powered and very stressful career he has. However he is overworked, unhealthy and obviously has lost his passion for the job. The death of his boss and mentor has him questioning the direction his life is taking.

Dylan 'follows the sun'. He travels the world, finding work where he can but has returned to work at Sapphire Cay for the last 5 years. He has had his own fair share of tragedy and disappointment in his life.

Lucas and Dylan are drawn to each other but their relationship develops fairly gently, both afraid of moving too fast. A lot of the focus is on Dylan trying to draw out Lucas, to put a smile on his face. Lucas' sadness and worries play a significant role.

Dylan has some decisions he also needs to make, decisions that would impact his roving ways. I do think there was a lost opportunity or potential plot twist related to the brief visit of Dylan's ex-lover. Knowing about the relationship Dylan had with him helps to understand Dylan better but why did his personal visit not result in any big drama or misunderstanding? I was waiting for something climatic to happen but it didn't eventuate.

Add a sweet sister, wedding shenanigans and a happy ending and it all sums up to an enjoyable story.

A very real situation that many gay men find themselves in i.e. working flat out, so as not to have time to look for a partner or even a set of gay friends. I enjoyed the repartee between the two guys, and also between Lucas and his sister, and between Lucas and his sister's bridesmaid. I look forward to reading the next in the series.

This story took me on a well deserved vacation. I feel so much like Lucas and even though I have a Dylan. Sometimes I wish we could shuck all the trappings of life and do things we enjoy. I'm happy that the rain washed away the sadness and let the sun in to shine and heal and make the world better the sun makes things grow and love is definitely one of those things. Joe

Looks like the start of a good series of romances set in Sapphire Cay (a private island in the Bahamas) Lucas, while interesting was a little thick headed (about everything) but I fell in love with Dylan. All the characters were great and I'm looking for next release.
