Book Description

August 1, 1999
"When I finish school, then what?" and "I don't know what major to choose, because I don't know what I want to do." These are comments made everyday by high school and college students searching for the answer to life after school. Lucky for them Follow Your True Colors to the Work You Love, an innovative course in self-discovery and career planning, holds the key.

Throughout her book, Carolyn Kalil's enthusiasm leaps off the pages as she leads students through an insightful and entertaining journey and introduces the True Colors Personality System. As students learn about the four basic personality types, each represented by a different color, they gain an understanding of their natural strengths and talents. Gradually they become equipped to identify specific careers in which they will thrive and find true satisfaction - work they will love! Follow Your True Colors to the Work You Love makes an ideal elective course for the high school senior or college student, and is a must have for any career counselor.

This book is terrific! I work with teenagers and helping them establish careers and making career choices. This book taught me so much about how to approach teens with this tough decision issue. Very down-to-earth and well established writing and exercises.
