Connie Cavanaugh's latest book, Following God One Yes at a Time, has just been released and is a wonderful companion to her previous book, From Faking It to Finding Grace. Following God One Yes at a Time tells you how - using simple and immediate "yes" answers, one at a time - to do what Jesus commanded when He said, "Follow Me." Some have characterized this book as "following God for dummies," because it's straight-forward and readable, a way for ordinary Christians to follow Christ through the maze of our complicated lives. My opinion is that a term like "following God for dummies" is clever, but it doesn't quite do this book justice, because believers who have been walking with Christ for a longer time also will be challenged and recognize deep truths as Connie so skillfully presents them. By the way, like her previous book, From Faking It to Finding Grace, this latest book is peppered with Connie's wit, wisdom and knee-slapping humor, trademarks of her writing and speaking styles.

Connie is a gifted and inspirational speaker and writer. This latest book is shot through with the grace of God and is Connie at her best: compassionate, deep, witty, fascinating, loving, practical, honest, and Christ-centered. She has put it together after years of public speaking, thinking, interaction with others, and prayer - it seems to me to be a kind of wise and wonderful distillation of her spiritual journey with Jesus. "Following God" is very readable and very motivating. It's also very people-friendly and God-honoring, just like CC herself. Spend some time with this book and it will make a difference. This is good writing and good reading.

Connie is a great writer! She not only has me in stitches laughing, but her Bible teaching goes right to my heart. Her illustrations are excellent and really help me to understand and dig deep. I will buy and recommend ANYTHING Connie writes! I am a BIG FAN!!!
