Lifeline,
By Stacey (Spokane, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Food Allergy Handbook: A Quick-Start Survival Guide For People Learning To Eliminate Allergy Foods From Their Diet. (Paperback)
This book has been an absolute lifeline for me! I was recently asked to follow the genotype diet in order to diagnose some health issues that I'm having. The first few days I was really discouraged, not quite knowing how to tackle such extreme changes to my diet.
Then I remembered that I had this book, and although it doesn't follow my diet exactly, because it avoids most major allergens I am able to take the basic recipes and apply them to my situation. I have gone from feeling hopeless to at least feeling like I have a guide to get me started. In addition to recipes, the book has helpful hints about which products to buy and even where to get them. It has saved me hours of research and been an incredible encouragement to me. |
