I absolutely loved this book. The recipes are unique from different cultures. The ingredients needed for most of the recipes are not items found in your pantry. The book gives decent detail on different cultures. The pictures are in black and white, except for a few pages that are located in the middle of the book.

I received my package in no time. It was in perfect condition. There was a little wear on the edges but for the price I couldn't complain because the campus bookstore was asking double the price for a used edition.

This was required for my son's school work. He had to create a menu and this book was very handy.

This book is fine as a read for one who is interested in world history, but is entirely unsuitable as a textbook. The author's blatant biases are distracting from the information, and the majority of each chapter is devoted to random historical points of the region, not food patterns and traditions. The recipes are nice, but not anything that could not be found on the Internet if one is willing to search.
