Great GF Option,

Before I comment on the tortillas, I want to point out that the currently image for this product is incorrect. Food for Life Brown Rice Tortillas are NOT the same as Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Tortillas, although they are made my the same company.I just purchased these tortillas yesterday, and am keeping them in the freezer. I heated one in a skillet over low heat, with a few drops of water, and decided to use it as a wrap with some turkey, cheese, and leaf lettuce. The wrap isn't terribly flexible, and fell apart when I tried to roll it up with the fillings inside, but the taste and texture are fantastic. It tastes remarkably like a wheat wrap to me--in fact, if I hadn't been the one to purchase these, I probably wouldn't know the difference. I'm not sure whether the tearing of the wrap is unique to this package, or if it's a trait common to this brand, but regardless, I will definitely be buying these again.

Great Tortilla Wrap,
By Breina Polk (Augusta, NJ United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Food For Life Brown Rice Gluten Free Tortillas (12x12 OZ) (Misc.)
I love these tortilla wraps. After reading the other review, I decided I should leave my opinion. I think they are delicious and have a great taste. I eat them almost every evening for dinner. I keep the wraps frozen and when I want one, I heat it in the microwave between two slightly damp paper towels for 40 seconds. It comes out perfectly pliable just like a regular wheat wrap and I eat it immediately. If the wraps are left sitting out after being heated, or cooked for too long, they eventually become hard. I cannot eat most chips, so when I want chips or to make nachos, I heat these for a minute on dry paper towels in the microwave and let them sit out 5 minutes and they become hard.

I have been looking for flour tortillas and only found this brand...These tortillas are tough..hard to eat.....I do not have teeth..so no way i could eat them and my daughter had a hard time eating them with teeth..Why can't they make good gluten free products? It is hard at my age to stop eating everything i like...and i wonder sometimes if it is worth it..
