the best pasta I've eaten...,
By
This review is from: Food For Life Ezekiel 4:9 Organic Sprouted Grain Pasta, Linguine, 16-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I love these pastas- yes, they have a different texture and taste than the regular storebought flour pastas, but unlike those flour pastas (including whole wheat) which have little nutrition or fiber, and act like glue in your gut, the Ezekiel pasta is packed with nutrients and fiber and it actually helps regulate you.
I think the transition from mainstream to more healthful foods is difficult for a lot of folks if they compare it to what they've been used to and expect the truly healthful stuff to taste and feel the same. For those who eat little to no prepackaged processed foods, I think you'll love this as much as I do. And that includes their cereals. I know my body loves this stuff! :)

My Carb Munching Hubby Even Liked This!,

We have been eating healthier for a while now and recently went all organic. We have been trying to eat lower glycemic foods so regular pasta is out. We ate whole wheat for a while, then switched to the low carb pasta that tastes basically like regular white flour pasta. We tried this tonight with a great sauce with lots of herbs and spices in it and my meatballs that my family always loves. My husband isn't quite as excited about all this healthy stuff but willingly eats it because he knows it is better for him. He is a HUGE carnivore or "meatitarian" as my 11 year old says, and when I asked him to take the meatballs out when he walked by the oven, he took out the small pan of 8 meatballs and I saw him bend back over and look in the oven again. I told him that was all there was. He said that was great, but what are you and the kids going to eat!! I cooked the pasta and dished up his bowl with lots of sauce and only 2 meatballs. Remember, this is the first time for this pasta. I am still in the kitchen getting my bowl and I hear him say, "I really like this pasta" Your meatballs are really good, but I could eat another bowl of just pasta and sauce" Shock, Awe, Amazement!!! So needless to say it was a hit at our house!!

Not for everyone...,

I love Ezekiel breads, cereals and especially the pasta! It is not for everyone's palate, but I love the earthy deep grain flavor. Try it with different sauces to see what you like best. I'll eat it with anything really!

This is MUCH better than whole-wheat-flour pastas, which I feel add a grainy taste without enhancing the flavor. This pasta is more like using a multigrain bun on a hamburger instead of a plain white one. It's honestly so tasty I could almost eat it plain with no sauce. PS, if you like al dente style pasta, don't wash it after cooking like the box says and it will be extra gooey and sticky.

I tend to lean on the healthier side when it comes to food and I absolutely love this pasta. I think it is one of the best tasting pastas I have ever had. It has a hearty, nutty flavor and you don't need to eat as much because it actually has nutrition to it so it fills you up a little faster then the white pasta and even just whole grain pastas too. It does tend to stick really fast and sometimes if you don't eat it quickly after cooking it it can turn into one big lump of pasta...(that only really happened when we made a huge batch with two boxes in one pot). It's great with tomato sauce, creamy sauce, pesto, meat sauces, and with veggies.
This is the only kind of pasta my husband and I buy and I totally love it!

This pasta contains very healthy and easily digestable ingredients. It has a nice nutty flavor. The only problem is that the pasta is "dissolvable" in water if softer texture is desired. One way to avoid getting the noodle dissolved too much and the texture soften is to steam the noodle 5-10 minutes after cooking for 4-5 minutes in water. After steaming the noodle, it gives a texture similar to udon. I put sesame oil, sweet soy sauce and sesame for seasoning and the noodle tastes great! It would be great if Ezekiel could get the texture problem improved. Otherwise, it's a great substitute for people with gluten free diet or looking for more digestable pasta with healthy ingredients (sprouted beans and legumes)!

This stuff is absolute awful. Just the worst pasta I have ever tasted in my life. I am one of those people who actually likes whole wheat spaghetti, and yet found this unswallowable. The texture is horrendous.
