5.0 out of 5 stars It depends...
I give this product 5 starts, but not for eating it as a cereal. I think that eating it plain/with milk is a little rough: as a cereal, I'd give it 2 stars. However, I LOVE using this stuff in yogurt (any flavor)--it adds more of a crunch than granola does--and it's also fantastic when you put it on top of fruit (espeically strawberries and melons like canteloupe...not so...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not that great
I wasn't crazy about this cereal. I thought it would be a little like grape nuts, but it really was like small pieces of their bread dried up and crumbled (I do like their bread, but not this way). I was sorry that I bought the the six pack. Try to find it from your local grocery store and see if you like it before purchasing so many from here.

5.0 out of 5 stars It depends..., November 11, 2007
This review is from: Food For Life Ezekiel 4:9 Organic Sprouted Whole Grain Cereal, Original, 16-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I give this product 5 starts, but not for eating it as a cereal. I think that eating it plain/with milk is a little rough: as a cereal, I'd give it 2 stars. However, I LOVE using this stuff in yogurt (any flavor)--it adds more of a crunch than granola does--and it's also fantastic when you put it on top of fruit (espeically strawberries and melons like canteloupe...not so much watermelon). I really like the Ezekiel 4:9 with almonds best!

And as an FYI, 22 bucks for 6 boxes is a great deal. The cereal usually runs about $5-6 a box in-store.

Enjoy!

This is literally the best cereal in my entire life that I have ever eaten. It's a perfect supplement to a whole foods vegan diet. at 16g of protein per cup, packed with fiber, minerals, and vitamins, you cannot go wrong with this cereal. This texture and taste are not for everyone, but for those who like hearty, multi grain, sugar free types of food, this is the cereal for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE it!, July 1, 2008

I love this product! For those that find the taste bland, but are eating this for fiber, here is my suggestion: Mix small amounts (less than 1/4 cup) of each of the following in a bowl: this cereal, Fiber One cereal, Wheat and Bran Shredded Wheat cereal, raw almonds, raw walnuts, and raw pecans. Pour on your favorite soy milk. It tastes great! I eat this every morning. No more trouble with getting my daily fiber intake!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best hot cereal in the world, March 21, 2009

Eaten cold, this no-sugar-added cereal has a crunchy texture and a pleasantly sweet, subtle flavor, like a more sophisticated twist on Grape-Nuts. But it's when this cereal is served hot that it really shines. In addition to packing far more flavor than oatmeal, it also has the perfect consistency for cooking; somehow, it never seems to stick to the bottom of the pot. And it takes just a few minutes.

Every person I've ever served this to has been impressed. "This is the most delicious oatmeal I've ever tasted," they say. There's no need for any sweetener, though raisins and sliced banana are always a welcome addition. Chopped walnuts are also great for adding protein and some extra crunch.

I like all of Ezekiel 4:9's cereal varieties about equally well, and would pick any of them over any other kind of cereal. And Amazon's prices beat those at my local grocery store. It's a great way to stock up on a truly amazing breakfast food.

This natural sprouted grain cereal has become our "staff of life"! Last year, I believe my 60 year old husband was a "heart-attack waiting to happen" - we changed our eating habits to organics, high omega3 foods, sprouted grains, a lot of leafy green veggies, exercise, a lot less carbohydrates, etc and a year later his cholesterol, blood pressure, homocysteine and all his other lab reports showed the blood work of "someone in their 20's", his doctor declared! I even make a "granola" with Ezekiel 4:9, organic coconut, raisins, pecans, and cinnamon that he loves sprinkled in his yogurt. With no refined sugar, preservatives, artificial colors, flavors or shortening - we're lovin' it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nutritious!, April 5, 2011

I like this product alot. It has 8g protein and 6g fiber per 4oz serving. It is easier to eat than the brand nuts one. It is not real hard like the other brand nuts one. It comes in a box with 6 smaller boxes of cereal. It is a heavier cereal and the boxes are smaller than regular cereal boxes. It is very nutritious and healthy. No added sugar and no flour. It is all sprouted grain. This is what I need. I hope you like it also.

Great cereal. Similar to, but better texture and taste than Grape Nuts. Also, these are not made from flour like Grape Nuts. Great source of protein. Throw on some sliced bananas and your favorite honey, and this is a treat! Amazon has these at a price I haven't been able to match (except for the almond flavor), and occasionally has them as deals of the day for a few cents cheaper.

This is one of my diet staples. When I first ate it, I admit that it sort of tasted like cardboard to me. But that's because I was used to eating crap like cocoa krispies. Now, I can't imagine going back. I've grown to love the earthy flavor and substantial texture of this cereal. I let it soak in milk a bit before eating, and if I'm in the mood for sweetness, I sweeten it with stevia or splenda. Yum!

This cereal is great! The nutritional profile is fantastic for those looking to cut out all of the additives, preservatives, HFCS, etc, etc from the foods they eat. A great addition to a clean diet. I eat this everyday for breakfast!

I enjoy a cup of spoon size shredded wheat topped with Ezekial 4:9 smothered with thin natural yogurt almost every morning. It really gets my day started right.
