Editorial Reviews

With their roots buried deep in the rare groove, warehouse party culture that spawned the UK dance scene Dave Henley and Justin Langlands aka Pressure Drop are two true originals.

It is these far reaching roots which have led them to release an album spanning Dub, House, Drum n Bass, Breaks, Reggae and much more. Food of Love is a collection of their favorite tracks from Pressure Drop’s first two long out of print albums plus a bonus CD of remixes by friends and like-minded souls including Richard Dorfmeister, ex-Leftfield man Paul Daley, breaks kingpin Adam Freeland, UK dub legend Manasseh, and leftfield funkers Cuica.

Aside from the original tracks, which are as relevant today as they always have been, the remixes and artists behind them span a huge breadth of musical styles from new faces and usual suspects alike. Check Paul Daley’s future bogle mix of "Legacy", Maddslinky’s sweet, twisted break-step mix of "Unify", or the Dorfmeister club dub mix of "Back2Back". The quality is undeniable throughout and the album as a whole is coherent in a way many remix packages fail to be. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
