Review

"The consummate raw food coach, Karen Knowler, has now written the consummate coaching book designed for anyone wanting to get started on a raw food diet. Raw Food Made Simple is beautiful to look at, easy to read, and fun to use. Karen demystifies the raw food diet, making it accessible to anyone who wants to get started no matter what percentage raw they want to start with. Karen doesn't impose judgment or criteria, so even those who just want to add more raw fruits and vegetables to their existing diet can do so easily and effortlessly. Even though I have been teaching the principles of the raw lifestyle for over 18 years, I enjoyed this book and will recommend it to my friends and students."

--- Cherie Soria, "The Mother of Gourmet Raw Cuisine", founder and director of the Living Light Culinary Institute, Mendocino Coast, CA, USA. Author of three books including Raw Food Revolution Diet: Feast, Lose Weight, Gain Energy, Feel Younger

"This is the friendliest, most inviting, most complete work on raw food I've seen to date. If you're curious, or if you've tried raw and fell away from it, or if you're a dedicated raw food eater looking for an uplifting, info-packed, and supportive read, treat yourself to a delicious few hours with Karen Knowler's Raw Food Made Simple - and keep it on hand for reference and inspiration for your whole healthy life."

--- Victoria Moran, CHHC, AADP, New York City, USA, Author of Creating a Charmed Life, Fit from Within, and The Love-Powered Diet

"I have had a wonderful time reading "Raw Food Made Simple" and being totally inspired by it. I wish it had been available when I first started dabbling in raw! Karen, it's a fantastic book! Knowing your work, I expected it to be good, but it really does exceed all expectations. It looks appetizing and beautiful, it s clear and easy to follow, it's warm, friendly and totally inspiring. I really can't praise it highly enough. I think anyone could read this book and get something from it - I defy them not to get totally and utterly inspired with the thought of raw food and for those who are already dabbling in raw, it's a godsend that will totally revitalize their approach and their meals!"

I really loved this book. The title is exactly right. It's very straight and to the point. Very simple and easy to use the advice given. It's quite practical. I followed the 5 day recipe plan. By the 4th day I had lost 3 lbs. I wasn't hungry all the time. I felt satisfied. Great book!

Format: Paperback
This book is better than her first one, she has changed her ideas (just like other so called raw "gurus") so now it's ok to eat less than 100% raw, the purity idea has disappeared and you can freely eat also cooked food, I still don't think that a raw food diet is balanced and I still believe that eating milk (not raw), meat and fish is crucial in a healthy diet and, as numerous scientific researches have demonstrated, cooking for ex. tomatoes made lycopene more bioavailable and the same happens with other fruits, veggies and legumes.
