5.0 out of 5 stars Food Men Love, Men Love the book
As far as cook books go Margie Lapanja has out done herself. I have enjoyed reading all of Margie's books about food as much as cooking some of the recipes. Food Men Love is no exception. Most people will have no problem with these simple and tasty recipes. I didn't...

Enjoyed it trememdously...

Meh. The recipes in this cookbook are very finicky, in my opinion. I've only bothered to try one recipe so far, and it really wasn't worth all the time and effort that it took to make the meal. A waste of shelf space!

My first night with this book I stayed up till 1 am reading it cover to cover laughing and inspired to cook. Since then I have used the potions within to successfully collect love and adoration. My favorite is the Lemon Heaven Meringue Pie, which I have made 5 times in two months . . .rave reviews each time. I was also blessed to be the receipient of Peter's Phyllo-Wrapped Gulf Prawns a La Lodge Club trully a night to remember. Yes!

5.0 out of 5 stars Even Men can love "Food Men Love", May 16, 2001

As a man who loves food, I find Margie Lapanja's "Food Men Love" to be a feast for the soul as well as the palate. Not only are the recipes utterly fantastic and completely attainable to non-gastronomiques such as myself, but the anecdotes, quotes and overall presentation of the volume are absolutely refreshing to me. Being a fan and owner of Margie's first book, "Goddess in the Kitchen", I find the flavor and style of "Food Men Love" to be a marvelous compliment to the original. If you are kitchen-wise or not, you're bound to find something to appeal to your literal or figurative appetite in this delightful piece of literary art.

Margie Lapanja (Goddess in the Kitchen and Goddess' Guide to Love) doesn't miss a beat with this one,a must-have for the kitchen! It's another of Lapanja's playful invitations to bring magic back into the kitchen and all of us back to the table!

This is food WE ALL love! As with Lapanja's other kitchen secrets, the recipes are not only fun to stir up. Once you learn about them from the Goddess, you'll never see them quite the same way again!

I loved Margie Lapanjas first book "Goddess in the Kitchen", so when the colorful cover of this one caught my eye, I had to buy it. This book is just pure fun & frisky! The Chili of Champions recipe warmed my husband heart and the Apple Piagra made the evening complete!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but not the best., August 29, 2004
This review is from: Food Men Love: All-Time Favorite Recipes from Caesar Salad and Grilled Rib-Eye to Cinnamon Buns and Apple Pie (Paperback)
This had some really tasty recipes that my boyfriend did enjoy. However, the way I see it, men love food no matter what it is and they'll eat almost anything. Some of these recipes were perhaps a little too "gourmet" for my meat and potatoes man. Not a waste of money, but you shouldn't expect a marriage proposal by making him the lamb chops, but he might help you with the dishes!
