In northern Italy, it's as popular as pasta in the south. Traditionally the first cooking step required stirring for 40-45 minutes in a copper kettle over a hot fire. Pre-cooked Polenta eliminates this tedious chore, while preserving Polenta's ancient Italian heritage. There may be some water separation, this is normal. USDA Organic. A quick, easy and delicious option for dinner. Slice it up, cover in sauce and sliced mozzarella, put into a 350 degree oven until bubbly... wonderful.

I recently purchased this from the natural foods section of my local grocery store. I am glad I did! It is a healthy, quick, vegetarian, gluten-free product that is one of my new favorite foods! It also doesn't need to be refrigerated until it is opened. I add organic artichokes and organic spinach to mine. Yum! I am glad that I found them on Amazon, as I ordered several more!
