Informative cookbook with excellent, tasty recipes,
This review is from: The Food & Mood Cookbook: Recipes for Eating Well and Feeling Your Best (Paperback)
This cookbook is one of the best I've come by for people who have average to above average cooking experience and who are looking for very tasty, healthy meals. Everything I've made from this book has come out excellent and the ingredients are common to most cooks' kitchens, so you don't have to search extensively for exotic spices, etc. With some slight modifications, I have been able to improve a number of these recipes based on my individual tastes. I'm particularly fond of the soups and find that they are extremely quick and easy to make.
Enjoy and eat well!

This cookbook has quickly become my favorite, default reference in the kitchen. Every recipe I've tried has been easy, delicious and healthy! I love the information included about why we crave certain foods, and healthy alternatives for all kinds of occasions - lunch, snacks, needing a carb fix, etc. I own several cookbooks but this is the one I keep going back to.

Unnatural,

This book relies too much on science at the expense of common sense. It makes extensive use of Splenda, egg substitutes, butter-oil replacement, and low-fat/non-fat cheese, sour cream, whipped cream, etc. If that appeals to you, then you will like this book. If you prefer natural food, like I do, then this book is not what you're looking for.
