I have been very very pleased and we got it on sale at Kohl's for 42.00 so can't complain at all.

ONE, the coffee NEVER stayed warm, much less hot when switched from brewing to warm.

This coffee maker replaced a 1 year old Gevalia that was ka-put out of warranty.

My wife bought this for me as she knows that I am very particular about my coffee and how it is brewed.

Our machine was ordered from Kohls for about $39.00 with coupons etc. While waiting for the brewer to be delivered we read through many anecdotal product reviews on the Kohls website.
Several complained about the coffee being "too hot"' and a few others said they could not pour without spilling.
One or two said that it failed after a few weeks.
Several people complained that the coffee was too hot.

The coffee is brewed HOT! Well folks that is the way it is supposed to be brewed!! Perhaps you have gotten used to coffee being ruined in your Mr. Coffee brand makers that seems to brew at around 95 degrees. You can come on over and have a cup of my afternoon dish water and have about the same flavor(as Mr Coffee)

With respect to the pouring of the carafe there were several people that complained about not being able to pour without spilling a bit or more. I have experienced just the opposite. In fact this is the best pouring carafe that I have ever had I believe (30 years of coffee makers). I can only wonder if there wasn't a running production change as there were really quite few complaints in reviews about the carafe.

The fill marker is unusual as it is a staircase stepped level indicator inside the reservoir for the water level. Works fine once you get used to it.
Brew time is a little bit slower than my Gevalias but not by much. Faster than the Black and Deckers.

The auto function works well.

There is a replaceable charcoal filter assembly that installs in the reservoir to cut some of the bad tastes from your water.

We had a Delonghi that we struggled with for years and when we switched to this model we have been in heaven. I like dark coffee and it's program for "dark" works wonderful. I have been very very pleased and we got it on sale at Kohl's for 42.00 so can't complain at all.
"Update" September 15th, 2012....it started malfunctioning and we took it back with much hassle. Ended up getting a kitchen aid...bummer!

We've had this coffee maker for one year now, and it was worked great. We have not had one problem with it. It brews a wonderful pot of coffee. It does everything it is supposed to do, and it is a very handsome addition to the kitchen. I would recommend this to anyone, especially for the price.

I owned a cuisinart brew and grind that finally gave out. Then I switched to Keurig but the k-cups used are much too expensive over time even on sale. I decided to go back to basics. This coffee maker has been perfect so far. I say so far since I only have it a week. If it breaks, I will update my post. Everything is easy to use and I program it every night and I have delicious coffee in the morning. No complaints with this maker. It looks pretty and not too bulky. The blue led backlight is very rich looking. Not sure why this is getting a bad review but it works like a charm and has a two year warranty that you can take it back to the store. What more could you ask.
