5.0 out of 5 stars From Everday Italian to Giada at Home!
When I first saw the promo for Giada's new television show, "Giada at Home," I was worried. No more Italian? Giada giving advice on entertaining?

However, my worries were unnecessary! If anything, I ADORE "Giada at Home" more than I ever liked "Everday Italian." The reason this new series works so well is because of the fun, festive themes of each episode...

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs ingredients list
Great video and clearly explains cooking techniques. I would like to see a list of ingredients at the beginning of each meal.

This review is from: Food Network: Giada At Home - Season 1 - Only At Target (DVD)
When I first saw the promo for Giada's new television show, "Giada at Home," I was worried. No more Italian? Giada giving advice on entertaining?

However, my worries were unnecessary! If anything, I ADORE "Giada at Home" more than I ever liked "Everday Italian." The reason this new series works so well is because of the fun, festive themes of each episode.

Like Ina Garten's show "Barefoot Contessa," this series now features dozens of Giada's friends and family. Each episode has Giada preparing meals for specific occasions; Season One includes a fashion party, Christmas gathering, block party, lobster bake, and much more!

The quality of this DVD is of much higher quality than previous Food Network DVDs. This is perhaps due to new/better videography and technology. The sunny landscape of California and Giada's colorful outfits look spectacular in this set, unlike some of the grainy offerings of FN in the past.

This set features twelve 30 minute episodes on three discs. I think the price of this set is extremely reasonable...especially compared to the prices of other television series!

If you enjoy Giada, California cooking, or the "thematic" episodes of "Barefoot Contessa," I highly recommend this series. You can always catch the series on Food Network Saturdays to check it out before purchasing.
