Book Description

May 9, 2006 Recipes for Living Series
How much of the treasure that lies within us--our thoughts and experiences--do we ever bestow on even those closest to us? How do you find the right moment to express the most deeply felt things, or to pass on your family history? This innovative recipe box creates that moment every time it's opened. The first installment in this new Recipes for Living format, Food for Talk gets families and friends talking and sharing, with 200 cards of conversation-starting questions to answer, and quotations to reflect upon. Statistics show that when families talk regularly, kids do better in school and are far less likely to use drugs or engage in other unhealthy behaviors. Food for Talk is the perfect gift to give your own family or a special person to make any occasion extraordinary.

5.0 out of 5 stars conversation starter, September 13, 2005
This review is from: Food for Talk (Misc. Supplies)
This pack of thought-provoking questons has really improved the dinnertime discussions at our house. After being married for 19 years, I thought I knew everything about my husband. Surprisingly, these questions have started conversations about issues we had never discussed. I would recommend this item for any family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for any age family., June 3, 2004

This review is from: Food for Talk (Misc. Supplies)
My entire family has enjoyed using these cards at mealtime. My children range in age from 23 to 11 and the first time we opened the box everyone had fun sharing. I also appreciate the quotes that are on some of the cards.

I had read about this in a magazine. The box is filled with info and questions to get the conversation rolling at the dinner table...and it does just that. Geared toward older teens/adults. What a great idea!
