Unfortunately, this Chlorella is sourced from China. Too bad, because I really like it. I don't believe in the quality control methods of China, and I don't care if the label says "organic." I'm not putting this into my body!

This is really one of the safest products out there. NOW foods actually tests their products for all contamination, including radioactive substances, which is extremely important since the Japan crisis. This is sourced from Taiwan at one of the most modern chlorella plants around. I had a long talk with the company reps about this. I feel very comfortable taking their products and giving them to my family, MUCH more so than other companies who gave me the run around when I asked if they were testing for radioactive substances. Other companies that source their products from Japan are the ones I would not trust now.
