They've redesigned this product as of February 2013 and now it not only includes added Xylitol (sugar) but it also is NOT cross-flow microfiltered so Amazon needs to change the description of its items once the manufacturers update these product so as to not confuse their consumers.

Tastes great and mixes well, two of the main things besides the protein content. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and saved TONS of money considering how high protein prices are now. I am an ON guy, but this brand works just as well without hitting my wallet as hard.

I normally by the NOW whey protein isolate which is great. But this time I screwed up and ordered the Whey concentrate. Big mistake, I've had gas and bloating for almost two days, and I eat multiple serving of yogurt and milk everyday with no problems. Short story get the Whey Isolate, it is excellent, mixes well, tastes great and digests well.

This protein powder isn't too bad. If your looking for a quality brand look no further; Now foods is my favorite supplement manufacturer. Although i usually purchase the plain whey isolate, because it is so versatile. I purchased Dutch Chocolate to try something different and I'm not sorry. Use a blender cup and mix this with some milk and you have a something very similar to Swiss Miss Cocoa.

I have tried whey protein isolates from several manufacturers. Some of them are quite expensive. Some are cheap, but in fact they are not isolates. For example, Optimum Nutrition (ON) Gold Standard 100% Natural Whey mentions "whey protein isolate" on its label, but in fact it is not isolate and you can feel it right away (the taste and smell are just awful). For some time I believed that if a whey protein is too cheap, than it cannot be tasty. Now I see that it was a false impression. NOW Foods Whey Protein Isolate Natural Vanilla tastes just as good as a vanilla ice cream, although in terms of its price it is on the cheap end of the spectrum. The good taste is not the only advantage of this product. If you check the protein, cholesterol, fat and carbohydrate content and compare it to that of other whey protein brands, then you will find that this is just about as good at it gets. I have not found a source of whey protein with significantly greater protein content or significantly lower cholesterol, fat, or carbohydrate content even among more expensive whey proteins. I will stick with NOW Foods Whey Protein Isolate for a long time, because I like it.

Probably the best tasting whey Ive had. Whey protein is pretty much the same, some absorb a little better than others, but overall you get x amount of protein. Its cheap, and NOW is a good brand Ive used for quite a while now without any complaints. If you want to save money in the long run or even if you want a natural whey protein then go with this, its about as natural as they come. Oh, keep your old scoop by the way, not sure if the bag comes with one, but if it did I cant find it in all the powder... only con with this so far.

This is an excellent brand of why protein powder, which I have used for years.

Whey protein, especially in the isolate form, is the most bioavailable form of protein, which means it is absorbed with little effort by the body. Bioavailability makes whey not only an excellent adjunct to the diet for weight lifters, who are at the peak of health, but at the other end of the health spectrum, it is an excellent choice for people suffering from chronic illness.

Nutritional research has indicated that whey protein acts in the body to increase glutathione levels, which has been called a "master antioxidant" because it regulates the function in the body of lesser antioxidants such as vitamins C and E. Glutathione also acts as a detoxifying agent in the body and when its levels are low, the body can be more prone to immune disorders, cardiac disease, premature aging and death.

As great as glutathione is, unfortunately, you can't take it as a pill because glutathione is a protein and is rendered inactive by the digestive process before it can reach the bloodstream. Fortunately, whey protein is what is called a glutathione "precursor." This means that when you eat whey, your body uses aspects of the whey protein to produce its own glutathione.

Two and a half scoops of this protein powder is an entire day's supply of protein. It can be added to milk or water, and has a good taste all on its own. It can also be added to smoothies--though you might prefer unflavored rather than chocolate if you decide to do that.

Importantly, this brand has no artificial sweeteners, whose regular use over time has been associated with an almost 50% increase in risk for stroke and heart disease.

I was very hopeful that I had found the ultimate whey powder for myself. I wanted something that was 1) High quality, 2) All natural, 3) Free of unnecessary additives, 4) affordable, and 5) tasted good. Well, 4 out of 5 isn't bad. This is definitely a high quality powder, it has 80% less cholesterol than the GNC Pro Performance I was using, has ZERO artificial additives, and is very reasonably priced. The only complaint I have, and this isn't a huge one, is the Stevia.

Now as far as alternate sweeteners go, Stevia is one of the best all-natural alternatives you can find. Unfortunately it has an aftertaste that can linger just as strong as an artificial sweetener, and the usage in this powder seems just a bit heavy-handed, especially since it does use some fructose as well. Personally I could taste the Stevia more than the vanilla.

If you know you like Stevia as a sweetener, then this gets a 100% recommendation. If you are unsure, try out a stevia-sweetened drink from a health foods section and see what you think first. If you dislike the aftertaste, then do what I am going to do next time, and just pick up the Unflavored NOW Whey Protein Isolate and adjust to your own tastes. Unflavored whey powder is almost tasteless, and works great as a base for shakes of any flavor.
