A fun low budget New York Comedy, July 20, 1999

This review is from: A Fool and His Money [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I thought that this was one of the most innovative low budget movies i've seen in a long time. I loved Johnathon Penner and Gerald Orange. There was one actress besides Sandra Bullock to watch : her name is Maggie Wagner and she plays Sam the Public Relations girl! She is amazing and GORGEOUS!! It's a cute a film about a guy who starts a religion to make money and fool everyone into believing that there is something actually holy about it! Sandy B. plays his disgruntled girlfriend. A good start for a lot of promising talent!

Aka 'A Fool and His Money'... not one of the best., May 28, 2001
This review is from: A Fool and His Money [VHS] (VHS Tape)
A well-worn story about a marketing executive who starts a phoney religion only to discover that bilking people out of their money isn't worth the loss of his morals and his love. The actors all do a good job (including Sandra Bullock, in what I assume is an early role), but the elements of this film are just too tired to really make it worth the time it takes to watch.
