4.0 out of 5 stars Wow! what a concept.
I think that this 4 song cd single is a blast from the past. I love the fact that CLEOPATRA records has took the raw rockin' energy of Ike & Tina Turner and put it on the way to today's dance floors. The first song 'A Fool In Love', is mostly a house mix sample of Tina's wale. The beat driven 'It's Gonna Work Out Fine' keeps the song intact and puts the punch behind...

3.0 out of 5 stars Only for the biggest Tina fans
I'm a huge Tina fan and when I saw this I almost went through the roof. However, when I listened to it I was somewhat disappointed. "A Fool In Love" is a just a cheesy little Casio sounding riff with Tina's first line of the song-"oh there's something on my mind"-repeated throughout the track. Not very danceable or entertaining. Included on this cd is a funky remix of "Cussin, Cryin' & Carryin' On" and a cute version of "It's Gonna Work Out Fine". Nice, but not current. I think '80s instead of 2001. If I'd heard the cd before I purchased it, I may have considered buying it used or having someone make a copy for me. It's only for the biggest Tina fans...who have a few bucks to spare.

It's an interesting idea. Mix some of the classic Ike and Tina Tracks for clubs.
The version of A fool in love is fun. The two other remixes are not worth listening to. Even when they are called millenium versions they sound dated.

I love 'Cussin'Cryin' Carrying On' it delighted me so much I had to have a pool party. Everyone is like when is an Ike & Tina Remix album going to come out? It is much fun and a great tribute to a rock-n-soul duo. Thanks CLEOPATRA RECORDS.
