"Fooled Around" an almost-lost classic

Fooled Around.... Elvin Bishop (the guitarist) gets/takes all the credit, but he didn't sing it. That was Mickey Thomas, later of Starship. Bishop's great guitar plays second-fiddle to the voice of the then-unknown.
Thank Rod for bringing this great song back into the limelight, and doing a great job of it, too.

Excuse me, but when that song was a hit back in '76, Elvin & company appeared on practically every show he could doing that song, and always introduced Mickey Thomas when talking with the host after the performance. That's how we all knew who he was when he moved into Jefferson Starship.

It is hardly a lost, or almost lost classic, as oldies radio plays it ad infinitum. And you were thanking Rod Stewart for "reviving" it? He needn't have bothered, it is inferior to the original.
