4.0 out of 5 stars Major Bang for the Buck
I'm not a fan of Stewart's cheesey post Faces material but I've always liked this album. The title cut and "Gi' Me Wings" rank among the best of Stewart's rowdy repertoire. Sure, there are some of the usual radio oriented "chick songs", but the good tracks make it all worthwhile.

As for the super low price and the Rhino Flashback label: Don't let it scare...

As for the super low price and the Rhino Flashback label: Don't let it scare you; the remastering job is quite good, although the packaging smacks of bargain bin, but I bought it to listen to, not look at. I don't understand why Rhino didn't issue this on their standard label since the flashback label has been always been for compilations. Maybe we're going to start seeing more reissues released on the label. Personally, I'd prefer to pay more and get the standard packaging and liner notes.

All things considered, I'm quite happy. Sound quality is always my top consideration - and it is excellent.

If you love the more "rockin" music that Rod Stewart is associated with than this is the cd for you! I was surprised that this did not carry onto become a classic cd and that I had to wait so long for it to be available!
Every song on this is a winner and most have that rock n roll guitar riffs reminiscent of The Faces (and some Stones songs which also feature Ron Wood).
Buy this cd, and enjoy!

I challenged my exhusband that he could not find this album. Well he did. Guess what, I can't play if I don't have his turn table. I was thrilled to see this in CD form. It has been years, and I still remember all the words. Excellent Old Rod!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Under-rated album, December 30, 2010

Maybe I'm bias since I've been a Rod fan since the mid-70s when I was only a teen. Rod's music is like a soundtrack of my high school years, so this review is obviously going to be subjective. That said, there are 3 must-have songs in this album that'll yank your heart into pieces, make you cry, or make you melt like a schoolboy in love. "My Girl", "Somebody Special", and "Say It Ain't True" are three songs that I consider 5-star love songs, if you like the romantic Rod. These 3 songs are worth the price of admission. The rest of the album isn't too bad, but pretty mediocre. And, of course, "Passion" is the hit single here, which is special in itself since it doesn't sound anything like Rod has ever done before or since. I still think that the album is VERY good. Recommended!

A difficult disc to find....but well worth it! Rod in fine voice. Like the harder edge to some of the songs. Wish he would have done more like this!

I was best friends with one of the back up singers on this CD - Susan Grindell. She past away a short time ago and this CD is an excellent way for me to remember her. Rod is always great and this is no exception!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rod the Mod sexes it up!, August 29, 2005
This review is from: Foolish Behaviour (Audio CD)
This lambasted, forgotten wooly masterwork is the ultimate fruition of Rod's relentless fascination with Stonesy sexuality and male bonding, Keith and Mick style. 'Foolish' rocks with frightening regularity and Stewart even takes time out from his hip-swiveling bravado to tenderize our hearts with three of his most achingly heartfelt ballads. While "Every Picture" remains the touchstone by which all great pseudo-rock critics measure Rod, I prefer to take him in all at once, much like the tender schoolgirls who rumple the bedsheets in his dreams.
