Jewel is one of a kind. An artist of a strong and poetic personality as well as one with a beautiful and mature voice. Foolish Games is a most beautiful album with wonderful and poetic composition, but from the heart. Jewel sings from her heart about daily truths and with a passionate love for her music. She is definately a talented artist and deserves much more than five stars...

This is one of the most heartfelt ballads I have ever heard. It's beautiful, and perhaps one of Jewel's best ever. Jewel sings with maturity and emotion. It really touches you.

Okay forget everything I said. This is with out a doubt my absolute favorite Jewel CD single I own, or at least of the ones I could get my HANDS on (ha-ha). The first track includes the radio version of "Foolish Games", which is very nice but not quite as good as the album version. Jewel has a tendency to re-record many of her LP songs and compromise her talent for radio play. The cover picture is absolutely beautiful I may add. But the thing I love most about this CD is the two bonus tracks "Angel Needs A Ride" and "Everything Breaks". These are two absolutely beautiful Pieces Of You-quality songs. The vocals are amazingly stunning and the guitar chords are incredible. I could keep them on replay for hours. Very moving. This is definitely a collector's piece worth owning.

"Foolish Games" is everything that radio rejects, piano driven, slow, without a definitive bridge and a chorus that only appears twice yet it was everything right, being a massive hit at it's time of release.

I feel the version that was re-recorded for the Batman soundtrack was the superior version. From the haunting piano intro, to the simplistic yet dramatic story of the man she wants so desperatly that doesn't even know she's alive, or does he?

Beautiful song and Jewel's best work to date!

The greatest ballad ever in my opinion is Jewel's Foolish Games.

I love the intro, lyrics, voice, everything.

If there is a perfect song, this is it.

All I can say is that this is one of my favorite songs in the world. I especially like the chorus the second time when Jewel sings, "These foolish games are tearing me, you're tearing me, you're tearing me apart . . ." The song is full of emotion and Jewel's voice gives the melodies and lyrics wings to soar. (Note my e-mail address to see just how much I like the song!)
