I and my whole family loved the movie. We purchased the CD hoping that the guy who gave it such a bad rating was wrong. BOY IS HE WRONG! We all love the music it is just like the music from the movie. As I listen to it, I can envision the different parts of the movie. If it doesn't have a song or two, so what. I don't know of any Movie sound track that has every single song.

My take is that the guy who gave this CD such a bad rating would not look past the little that was not there, and as a result he is missing out on the great music that makes the movie so enjoyable.

If you liked the movie, you will love the this CD, that is if you can listen past the two songs that were not included. Enjoy, We are.

I found myself putting the movie on while doing something else just to hear the soundtrack. So I bought the CD. If you like lazy island riffs than you'll like this. Same music that's in the movie....

This CD is packed with music and if you are looking for something relaxing with an island "sound" then this is the CD to buy.

What a great score! George Fenton is one of my all time favorite composers... not only is his music thematic and beautiful, but he has one of the best comedic instincts in film music. Fenton's music for "Fool's Gold" is exotic, playful, intense, romantic and downright SUNNY. I can't think of a better "island themed" soundtrack (save for Goldsmith's "Medicine Man.")

All in all, this is a soundtrack that slipped under the radar, and needs more attention! 5 stars.

The music in the movie sounded much better than the soundtrack. Must be an "atmosphere" thing!

I purchased this CD because I loved the Caribbean/Reggae music in the movie. 98% of it is NOT on this CD. The music are all the bits and pieces music used throughout the movie.

Don't waste your money. Amazon should have the sound bites on their site for this soundtrack. I'm finding more and more CDs without the soundbites and very disappointed in what I'm receiving.
