You have to be kidding...,

I ordered this staff last summer and upon receiving it, found it to be nothing like the description. Fist of all, it was a three piece staff, which eliminated the flexibility a good bo is supposed to have. Secondly, it is two to three times as thick as a real bo, and extremely heavy. The "cord" grip is actually a shoelace-like string that comes off easily after handling the staff for a couple days, and the glue underneath sticks for good, so you get a sticky-hand bludgeoning stick.
Oh, and the icing on the cake? It was a "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" staff, in box, with the name "Leonardo" emblazoned in big letters with a picture of the purple-masked cartoon character on the front. Don't waste your time or money on this. Spend the extra cash and go to a real martial arts supplier or website.

The staff is good and heavy.. .that's good if you want to practice real training and not just look good. Problem is... it's in three sections... all wood.. and all attached together with hardware drilled into the end of each section.. .do a spin and drop the staff once on a hard surface... and the wood cracks. After that .. you're never going to keep the pieces together. This is not a staff for someone serious about working out. However, it is pretty.. if you just want to hang it on your wall .. go for it... that's all it's good for.

The staff is way too heavy and too thick. i cant use it for a bo staff it just dosent seem to be what its made for. how they can call it a bo staff i have no idea. i receved the item later than the eta was suppose to be and the item was damaged a big crack right where the end of the stick scrwed together, tryed to email the company through amazon and on there own site 4 times and no one got back to me. so if you are thinking about something to scare the chickens out of your yard this is the stick for you, if you want a bo staff that flexes like it should and is light weight and comfortible look some were els.

Absolutely Terrible,

The first thing that made me question the value of the staff was the box with "Staff of the Ninja" emblazoned on the front like some mocking banner. First of all, I've never heard of a ninja using a staff (they were assassins not back-packers). I wasn't too worried about it being a 3 piece, but when I saw that you had to screw the two end pieces on, I was terrified. Then I go outside to test it, by taking a swing at a tree. Not even a real swing, more like a half-swing, like I wasn't even trying. The end piece of the staff flew off and landed about 10 feet behind me, but not only that, it split the second end piece so it will no longer screw on tight. completely useless and a waste of money.

Am I a martial artist or a shepherd?,

The class opened up to gails of laughter at this two by four I was swinging. I didn't know if I looked like a martial artist or a shepherd. I think my sensei would have had more respect for me if I was swinging a loaded bed pan at him. I went ahead and finished the class with this Arkansas death implement. Although its great to make you look like youve lost weight because I looked like a grass hopper swinging a sequoia tree making my stature look rather lillipution in comparison to the neanderthal club I was wielding. The wake of air that followed it after each swing did send women and children and small farm animals clammering for safety. But, you better bring a back up because an eighty year old man will be faster than you trying to swing this hedge post.

Correction, It was a Donatello...,

The aformetioned review is entirely wrong. Although the staff is terrible, and it is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle staff, Leonardo never wielded a staff. The turtle with the staff's name is Donatello. An easy acronym is "Leonardo leads, Donetello does machines", Donetello is smart and uses the staff... get it right or pay the price. Heres the wiki page. [...]. Thanks enjoy the Staff.
