This review is from: Foot Grenadiers (Men-at-Arms) (Paperback)
This very aged Osprey title examines the history, movements, and uniforms of the Foot Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard over the entire duration of Napoleon's campaigns. The text is well-written and informative.
My only reason for giving this title 4-stars is that the color plates, by Osprey standards, are not very impressive. Do not misunderstand me, they are not terrible; they are just simply below Angus McBride, Gerry Embleton, or the Hook family's artwork in quality and attractiveness. Overall, this is another worthy Osprey title on a Napoleonic subject; I imagine it would be particularly useful for a military uniformist or a wargamer needing a painting guide. |
