I bought this pillow for my dad because he was always waking up with a really stiff neck and his regular, soft pillow wasn't giving him the support he needed. I got him a pillow for his birthday and a month later he said the pillow was pretty firm but he gave it a chance and hasn't had to go to the chiropractor since. He did mention that you should read the packaging first because he didn't do it right away and didn't realize you kind of need to "break in" the pillow with your hands. Overall, he is very pleased and has slept better ever since he started using it.

If you have ever had neck problems this is the pillow for you. I have purchased this pillo-pedic pillow for several years now and this last purchase was just a replacement. I have used other neck pillows before that were too stiff, but this one provides the support without feeling too stiff.

Warning, if you switch to this pillow you'll become a pillow snob and never go back. Seriously I switched after an accident injured my neck a few years ago. My chiro recommended it and it was the only way I could sleep. My neck healed and I tried going back to my "regular" pillow and couldn't sleep well. I love this pillow. I sleep on my side and back and its comfortable either way. There is a "thick" side and a "thin" side. I'm 5'5" and have a regular build and use the thin side. My husband is a bigger guy and uses the thick side of his. I've had mine now 6 years and it is about time for a new one but wow that's a long life for a pillow! Buy one now, you won't regret it!

I liked this because it does not smell--or at least any smell quickly went away when aired out a litte. But I have never been able to use it consistently. Every time I try it, it gives me a headache--which is what I'm trying to cure! It is quite firm, and I have neck and shoulder tension pain which began over 30 years ago. So, until I get better with stretches (hopefully), I'm on the lookout for a more "forgiving" cervical pillow--and one that doesn't have a smell that never goes away!

I first bought one of these through my chiropractor. It keeps your head and neck in alignment with your spine. It feels great to me and I am not comfortable using any other pillow. As another reviewer said, it is very firm but there are four different sides to try. Two that are firm flat foam with one edge higher than the other. And then the two sides shown in the picture with fiber fill in the middle. At first, I did need to experiment to find out which side worked best for me. I am petite so the thinner edge with the fiber fill in the middle worked best. The foam fits in the crook of my neck while my head is cradled in the fiber fill. I am very glad to see these on Amazon.com. If I ever need a replacement or want to recommend them now they will be easier to locate. *One note, I am chemical sensitive and these do off gas a strong polyurethane odor. I took care of this by using 3 pillow cases and removing the cases and washing them every day or two. The cases help to absorb the strong odor and after about a week I couldn't detect the smell anymore.

It took a few days to break in the pillow, but once it's broken in, it's like heaven. Squish it a few times before you sleep on it. I like to sleep on my side.

This pillow didn't work for me. The wedges to the ends of the pillow were standing out, the center was soft, but the drop between the firm (wide & narrow) wedges and the soft center was very uncomfortable.

This pillow did help to relieve neck pain, however it is really firm! I could only use the narrow edge side, the other side was uncomfortable. I start out sleeping on one side of the pillow near the middle of the bed and the pillow became compressed on that side. After awhile, if I slept anywhere else on the pillow I felt like I was sleeping on an incline. After many nights of fighting the incline, I went back to my memory foam pillow and slept through the night without waking up. I have not returned to the foot leveler pillow since. This pillow might be great for someone who starts the night in the middle and stays there, but it did not work for me.

Both my husband and I were experiencing neck and back pain. Even though we were seeing a chiropractor we knew it was time to get new pillows. Once we started sleeping on the new ones it was amazing the improvement we both had. No more pain and no more aches = a good night's sleep!

Yes, it did take a few nights to become accustomed to the firmness, and to flipping it over to the flat side for side sleep and to the countour side for back sleep, but it has relieved my neck pain and headaches, and I sleep more soundly. I hate to travel without it and usually find a way to take it along. This is my second purchase of this product.
