Shut up whiners!,

Admittingly I was at first disapointed when buying this record. I was familiar with "Too Late ...No Friends" and you put this CD on and at first it's kinda blah. But after listening to it a few times it's pretty good. Like I said not the same caliber as the others but it's worth a listen. And there are some who wanna say "It's not as punk" but does it really matter? These are all around good songs especially "Give Up the Grudge" which takes shots at hoiti toti whining upper class. (Kinda like a "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" Sequel). "Foot in Mouth Disease" puts [bad] life situations together with catchy tunes. If you have a few extra bucks buy this. It's not the best but it's pretty darn good.

A great follow up to a great cd,

Gob is one the best underplayed bands that I have heard of recently. Their last full-length cd, The World According to Gob, was a fast-paced pop-punk cd that you couldn't help bouncing around to. Foot in Mouth, gives the band a little more of a rock edge, yet still maintaining that same punk feel with great songs such as Oh Ellin, Lemon-Aid, and Bones. Also on this cd are the songs I Hear You Calling and Ming Tran, great songs from The World According to Gob and F.U. E.P, respectively. This is a must for every pop-punk fan who is looking for a new band to love.

Great CD - But beware the COPY PROTECTION ...,

God has released another fine CD. I've been a fan since the "Too Late ... No Friends" CD first came out (yea, that Soda video WAS pretty awesome). There's plenty of other bands out there that sound similar to Gob, but remember, Gob has been around quite a long time compared to a lot of these new bands. Check out their other CDs too they're all great! As good as this CD is I have to complain about the CD protection scheme on this CD. I purchased my CD legally and expected to be able to listen to it in whatever manner I wish. Unfortunately, I discovered the following upon sliding the CD into my computer: 1) The songs are not playable with your favorite audio player. (ie you can't use WinAMP, Media Player, etc, you must use the rather awful media player that's on the CD.) 2) You can't easily make MP3's of the songs. It IS indeed possible to create MP3's of the songs for your own personal legal use, but it takes a lot of digging into stuff like the Cactus Data Shield 200 protection used on the CD and programs like Exact Audio Copy (EAC) to create the MP3's, but this stuff is beyond the scope of most people buying the CD. Of course if you're playing the CD only in your home stereo, these shouldn't really be problems for you ... of course a small number of people have reported that the CD doesn't work properly in their stereos or discmans ... if that happens you can always return the CD to the store. The music industry will only succeed in offending their paying customers with these sorts of annoying copy protection schemes! I will in the future refuse to purchase any CD bearing the "copy protected" logo.
