I've seen the light weight shoes more often lately on the golf course and they seemed to be working out.
The shoes fit well and feels good when walking but my walk is from the cart to the ball and back.
Bought these for my husband he loves them comfortable fit, keeps feet somewhat cool on hot days.

I recently sent my first pair of M project mesh shoes back to FootJoy because they were not waterproof. My new pair did not even make it four holes before they took in water. I have no clue how FootJoy markets these as waterproof when 4 out of the 4 shoes took in water in less than one round of golf. I also contacted them before sending my most recent pair back and they informed me I would need to pay the difference for a different model even though I have paid the shipping back twice now because their shoes are not waterproof.

    Update:
David Gmitter from Footjoy resolved this issue for me. Footjoy sent me the leather BOA model of these shoes which are waterproof and actually a slight upgrade. It took some work but Footjoy did honor their waterproof warranty in the end at no additional cost to me.

I purchased my first pair of Footjoy M-Project Mesh Spikeless shoes about a week ago. I've worn them twice. They are absolutely the most comfortable golf shoe I have ever worn. In addition, they grip the ground extremely well.

The only difficulty I'm finding is how to clean them. We've had a lot of rain here in Georgia so the courses can be muddy. After my first round there was some mud on the upper mesh portion of the shoe. I spent an hour with hot water and soap trying to get them clean. My wife even stepped in with some OxyClean which got them cleaner but they did not look like they did when I bought them.

After doing some internet research it appears that the shoes are washable as long as you remove the insole before hand. I'm not sure if that will affect the "water proofing though. If that works, I'll update this review.

One final note of caution, shop around. Amazon sells them for $129 (other sites had them for $119) but I found them at Dick's for $99.99 and along with the purchase of a soda to push the cost over $100 I got a coupon for $20 Dick's dollars effectively making the cost of the shoe $79.99. Of course the only color my local Dick's stocks was "white on white". They do make them a dark gray with black ribbons which solve my mud problem.

Wanted a golf shoe that was spikeless and lightweight. However, there are more problems with these that I wish I never got them and/or want to trade them in. Here are some of the problems

    1. Cleanliness - forget about trying to keep it white as when you first got it. The mesh material makes it very difficult to clean. After 2 times playing with it, dirt stains appeared and unlike leather shoes where you can use shoe cleaner or a wet rag, I had to use a strong bristle toothbrush to try to get some of it out. That didn't even do the trick and the only way to get it off was to stick it in the washing machine. It's just very difficult to clean.

    2. Comfort - it does feel quite comfortable while walking. However, I'm not sure if I got a half size too big, but while I'm swinging I can feel my foot slightly slipping inside. My fellow golfer also commented that my foot would slip during my swing... Indicating that the rubber spikes aren't providing me with enough support. There were times when I felt I could roll my ankle cause it was very flimsy when I would walk off the side of the cart path. After 18 holes, I would need to take them off to give my feet a nice massage. Just didn't feel good as a walking shoes mainly because it feels cheap and doesn't offer much foot support.

    3. Feels and looks cheap

With all those that I mention, I highly not recommend this as an everyday golf use shoe. I really wish I returned it while I could, but it took a few months before I started to realize these problems.

I purchased the gray mesh shoes. I wanted a new pair of sneaker type shoes, these were the most comfortable on my feet. I must have tried 20 different shoes. Light weight and a thin sole. They seem to grip wet turf better than my soft spike shoes. I can feel the ground with the thin soles. I was hoping to take at least 5 strokes off my score with these new shoes. That didn't happen. Maybe new grips next week will help my score.
