Food is an integral part of the football experience whether it comes as part of a stadium parking lot tail-gate event, accompanies a home gathering to watch the big game, or smuggled in to be enjoyed with fans in the bleacher seats. Co-authored by cooking instructor, food writer, and Certified Kansas City Barbecue Judge Kellie Lawless and football enthusiast Mali Brocke (who is an Executive Chef and owner of a Santa Barbara-based catering company and has been cooking for gridiron events for decades), "Football Food is a handy little portable cookbook packed from cover to cover with 'kitchen cook friendly' recipes ranging from Rib Eye Steaks with Salsa; Fish Tacos; Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches; and Beer Can Chicken; to Onion-Cheddar Corn Bread; Chili Chaser Soup; Tailgate Toffee; and Spiked Hot Chocolate. Enhanced with menu ideas for before the game and during half-time breaks, "Football Food" is enthusiastically recommended for personal and community library cookbook collections in general, and football fans in particular.

Great sized book for taking to the game. Not as bulky as a standard cookbook. I like eating way more than watching football, so the parking lot parties are perfect for me! These are easy to shop for, easy to make, and easy to transport recipes. And who would expect breakfast foods in this book? What a nice surprise because we sometimes have out-of-town guests and need a quick and easy meal in the morning. I like that the authors throw in a little history of the game inbetween chapters, and there's a very handy meal planner in the back. You have to try the Fish Tacos. My husband and college kids LOVE them.
