I recently took a trip to the Holy Land and was given this book at the airport on my way out. What an incredible gift! Each morning before leaving to see the sights of Israel, I read the devotional for the places we'd be seeing that day. Trips to Israel can turn into sight seeing rather than spriritual experiences because there's so much to see. This book grounded the holy moments, made me search my soul deeper than the dirt, bricks and mortar I was walking amongst, even deeper than the stories, and gave great tips about what to look for (tips tour guides seldom share)that helped me experience Israel rather than "see" Israel. An absolute must have if you're going there!!!

Prior to my trip to the Holy Land, I used Mr. Kirby's book as a devotional to familiarize myself on what I expected to see and experience while there. Not only did Mr. Kirby prepare me for what to expect, he challenged me to experience each holy site in a much more insightful way. I was truly blessed by the life lessons that he incorporated into his descriptions of the various sites that were visited. I took the book with me on my trip and re-read his commentaries just prior to visiting each site. Using this book along the way added immensely to my spiritual experience in the Holy Land.
