This review is from: Footprints (Paperback)
Footprints is a collection of short stories examining what alien cultures might make of our footprints and spacecraft left on the Moon many years after humanity is gone. It's a terrific thought experiment, and one that's turned out a wide variety of great short stories. It's hard to summarize, as the various authors look at the idea in so many different ways. There are stories of hope, betrayal, love, loss, discovery, abandonment, etc. It's hard to even pin it as purely sci-fi, as so many of the stories dip into other genres even while dealing with the moon and alien races. These are not cold, distant stories from the moon. They're often personal, and powerful.
