5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirational and Uplifting!
What a beautiful and motivational look at the life of the author of the immortal poem, "Footprints in the Sand". Mary Stevenson is a true survivor who never loses her ability to look at the world and it's people in the most optimistic light. Her faith never waivers, despite the obstacles and tragedies she endures from childhood on. Ms. Giorgio (the author)...

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointment for someone who loves books and to read
I should have read the review more thoroughly before ordering this book. I have no idea if the information in the book is accurate or fiction. I am really not interested in this woman's life and was not able to even finish the book. Check it out of the public library before buying it; I wish I had, it would have saved me some money.

Mary Stevenson is a true survivor who never loses her ability to look at the world and it's people in the most optimistic light. Her faith never waivers, despite the obstacles and tragedies she endures from childhood on. Ms. Giorgio (the author) obviously took great pains to learn and relate the true story of the woman behind one of the greatest poems of all time. I highly recommend it to everyone - makes a wonderful gift too!

I dont remember the first time that I read this poem. I do know that it is one of my favorites. This book is a look into the world that created the poem. It is amazing to read what this women went through. Where many people would have given up Mary keeps going and looks to the brighter side of things. If you love the poem please read this book. It is a great gift item! J.D.

1.0 out of 5 stars This book is not suppose to be on the market, October 22, 2009
This review is from: Footprints In the Sand the Life Story Of Mary Stevenson, Author of the Immortal Poem (Hardcover)
James Asay the publisher and owner of Gold Leaf Press who publishied this book was suppose to remove this book from the entire market in November of 2004. This story is not a fact and it has interferred with the true history and authorship of a lovely lady named Ella H. Scharring-Hausen. Mary Stevenson only claims to have written this older version of Footprints in the sand poem, however this version was written before Mary Stevenson was born. This book was very boring, it tried to present a story as facts however it is fiction.
