Read the book to fully understand the title. Definetly worth reading! Pretty hilarious. A good-to-read-out-loud book. For men and women alike.

Pepper's pregnant!,
By A Customer
This review is from: My Foot's in the Stirrup...My Pony Won't Stand (Code of the West, Book 5) (Paperback)
All they want to do is settle down and raise a family, but Tap and Pepper keep finding trouble! Tap tries to clear himself from murder charges and avoid ambushes and generally keep Pepper from worrying and having the baby too early. Their pasts and present collide in a powerful way and challenge their love to the limit. Thoughtful read.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably isn't,

Tap and Pepper Andrews, who married a book ago, now live in Pine Bluffs with the precocious Angelita, 10-year daughter of Tap's friend Baltimore Gomez. Tap's job as a brand inspector does not prove any safer than carrying a marshall's or a sheriff's badge as he tangles with one bad bunch after another while trying to save money for his own ranch. Previous characters show up in cameos or as important secondary characters. Tap is still a straight shooter who takes no guff but he does try to avoid gunplay if he can. Pepper has settled happily into the domestic role she always craved and Angelita keeps her hopping. While guiding two would-be ranchers through the countryside, Tap happens into a saloon of bad guys and barely escapes. He helps rescue a bunch of Texas paisans from being shot as their herd is rustled and returns home to find that Pepper and a houseguest, Selena (another dance-hall girl) have been kidnapped. When Tap finally locates Pepper and Selena, they are riding herd on the kidnappers with a dagger and a pitchfork. Pepper manages not to have the baby at an inopportune time and Stack, former piano player at the dance hall where Pepper and Selena worked, arrives in time to save the Andrews family by his offer of half interest in a Montana ranch. Don't know what Little Tap will have to say about that when he arrives.
