This review is from: Footsteps on the Diamond Path Crystal Mirror 1 - 3) (Kindle Edition)
This is worth a "5" star rating for the Karma Lingpa text on the Vajra Guru mantra alone. The second "star" piece is the article on Machig Lapdron, founder of Chod. I have given it a 3 star rating since the average reader might think a 5 star rating for two articles alone is unfair. On the other hand, the other articles are often pretty good too, but with all things, ymmv. This Kindle edition collects the first 3 volumes of the Crystal Mirror, one of the two most important Tibetan Buddhist publications in America in the '60's and early '70's, the other being the early books of Chogyam Trungpa. Together those two (Tarthang Tulku and Chogyam Trunga) leave an indelible mark on Vajrayana Buddhism in the mid 20th century in America. ---------- Upped it to 4 stars even before publishing this review, it's just too good a collection and priced as a "steal" for Kindle. |
