I first heard Will Kimbrough as an opening act for Rodney Crowell and I really liked his music. I met him and he was a really nice guy. his music is a mix of blues and folk songs. I would definitely recommend the CD. It is great.

I recently saw Tommy and Will as Daddy, without the rest of the band. Will's guitar-work can literally take the place of a band. Anyway, back to the review. If you've never heard Tommy's witty lyrics or Will's driving beat, you owe it to yourself to take a listen. Some of the material is socially redeeming and others will invoke memories allowing you to see the past in a funny light. Others, including Wash and Fold, are just plain fun music.

If you are wondering whether to purchase this or not....purchase! You won't be sorry. All songs are incredible! Why, already Nobody from Nowhere has been recorded by a very big artist (you'll find out who this is in the very near future). If you have the time to check out their website, by all means do so! Google Daddy Will Kimbrough Tommy Womack. I love this stuff. Two lead guitarist...does it get any better??? And, their shows are way too much fun (if you should venture out). I don't know why, but, I keep thinking The Stray Cats whenever I think about this cd. Some kind of connection there...in a new, updated sort of funky way! That's it...The Funky Stray Cats!!!

Buy this cd.

Then go out and buy everything Tommy Womack and Will Kimbrough have ever done.

These are real songwriters.

Nuff said.

This is true American roots music. I don't believe there is a weak song in the bunch. If you are a fan of blues, southern rock, country, etc., Will and Tommy have something here for you!
