Product Description
All historical evidence points to the fact that the Apostle Thomas journeyed to the northern regions of India sometime after the death and resurrection of Jesus, at the summons of Gondaphar, ruler of a Parthian satrapy known as Gandhara, in what we now know as northwestern Pakistan. For Christ’s Sake is the story of Thomas’s journey to this region, a crossroads for the great cultures of Asia, on the Silk Route. The main characters are all actual historical persons, revealed against backdrop of Taxila, the capitol of Gandhara, an area once subjugated by Alexander, a center of higher learning and the intermix of Buddhist, Hindu, Greek and Babylonian beliefs. The arrival of a disciple of Jesus of Nazareth to this region changed the lives of thousands of people.
