Book Description

Photos, advice and anecdotes from our three months in Savannah, Georgia. We're two travelers who spend 91 days in various cities around the world, capturing the history, local flavor and way of life.

Over the course of three months, we were able to explore the best of Savannah: the touristic highlights, all the historic squares, easy day trips, great restaurants and hidden gems. Read about all our experiences in this e-book, which also includes a wealth of images of this incredibly photogenic city.

For 91 Days in Savannah is not necessarily a city-guide, but an honest and impartial account of our three months in this gorgeous southern jewel. A person who reads the whole thing will have a comprehensive understanding of what life in Savannah truly is like.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nook Color, too! September 10, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I have been following "For 91 Days ..." on Facebook and their blog for nearly a year. I was so excited when they spent time in Savannah since I had moved there just prior to their feature. This eBook is a MUST HAVE for all those that visit Savannah. I've been collecting books and whatever I can find about this great city to share with company, and this is by far the most comprehensive - not to mention entertaining - book to date. The pictures are gorgeous and do this beautiful city justice. My transaction was completed using PayPal (obtained a .pdf file) which easily uploaded to my Nook Color. Although I can't get the hyperlinks to work on the Nook, they work when viewing the book on my PC.

This book covers so much - including the 24 Savannah squares and the "To-Go" cup - but it's the writing (ok, the pictures too) that will grab you. I feel like I'm just having a friendly chat with someone who took Savannah in and held her dear. Thanks so much Mike and Jurgen - you've made this belle very happy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes Me Want to return to Savannah January 1, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
My husband and I often drive the 95 corridor between Florida and the NE and we will often make it a point to stay a night (or two) in Savannah. Up until now we've never had a lot of information to help guide our short stays. This book solves that problem. It's easy to read and well laid out. It has gorgeous pictures. And if you are reading it online or on Kindle Fire where you can link to Internet you can click on embedded links to their original blog posts with more pictures or on links to places they've visited or eaten at.

I look forward to our next visit and will be sure to have the book on my Kindle to help guide us and enhance our stay. Well done, guys!

4.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing March 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This was a nice change for me! Most books like this are all sunshine and daisies....and sometimes leave me wondering if the authors have even been to Savannah!! I love the way it's really a personal view of this beautiful city. It covers the good, the bad, and the ugly!!

I would definitely recommend this book to other readers!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not your typical travel book June 23, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Most travel books I've read are written by someone who spends a few days in the area they're writing about, or even worse have got all their details from internet research. This is not your typical travel book! Instead of writing about the popular tourist spots in Savannah these guys really get to know the personality of this eccentric city. I have been to Savannah many times and have a special place in my soul for the diverse residents and the haunting landscape. I was so excited to see that Michael and Jurgen were as enchanted as I was by this old city. The photography in this book is stunning! It really captures the essence of the city. If you really want to get to know what Savannah is about you would be wise to read this book! Well done guys!

5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive Guide September 10, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Wow! Literally everything one would want to know about visiting Savannah is packed into this book. With beautiful photography, the authors seem to really capture what is unique and different about this quirky city. I love that there is lots of "off the beaten path" information included rather than typical overkill on the touristy stuff like you'll find in many books.

The book is very well organized with chapters and links that could serve as your guide when you visit Savannah! If you're looking for unique and easy to read information, download this - you won't be sorry!
