I'm putting this review up because the other reviewers gave it two stars and I think it deserves more than that. I would rate it at about a 4.5.

I have read most of Evangeline Anderson's works, and I have to say that this is one I've read several times. Evangeline does different types of stories, and this is one that is a bit heavier on the sci-fi than the erotica, although there is some hot sex (after all, the heroine IS ordering a sexbot!) :)

I really like the setting and the heroine in this novel. It's about a girl running a mining station alone on the edge of space. In order to stay in business, she has to do all of the repair work on the smaller mining ships herself, and the last guy that she trusted stole just about everything she had, besides laughing her out of the bedroom. She only has a talking cat for company, who provides plenty of comic relief, but in the end, she's *lonely*. The heroine is not an over-the-top, dressed-to-impress hot blonde; she's an overworked, pragmatic, realistic heroine that has need of a decent man in her life.

When she orders a Companion 2000 from an online catalog, what she ends up with isn't necessarily a decent man, but he ends up trying pretty hard to do the right thing by her...in addition to his sexbot duties. Watching the two characters sort out their individual obstacles and learn to care about each other was heartwarming, and I found myself actually wanting them to work it out in the end.

I wouldn't recommend this book to someone who is looking for sex almost every page, as with some of her other books. Instead, if you're looking for a solid story with good characters and great humor, this is the book for you.

Hi, love the naughty scenes, but i don't like the whole, "I'm gonna do this and do that". Too much talking, not enough other stuff!
the story was OK.

I must say, that I like Evangeline Anderson-s books.
But for this one, there sims nothing special, with the story.
Leita has no luck in getting a man, who will stay with her in small space ship. So she decides to by an android for sax and companion.
Pierce is an interesting alpha male; who is constant involved with some troubles, and has no time for a real woman on his side. So there are some interesting commitments between those two. Pierce makes Leitas life interesting and she is beginning to feel something like love, but she thinks, so stupid to feel something for a cybernetic slave.
But in the end the story is nice. Evangeline is really good writer, you could feel the filings from both of them, and I like it this way, also the sex is good. I like the Planet X; it's the best story for me!

The chararacters weren't very developed. The side stiry about the horny robot was the best thing about this story. I liked it, but I didn't love it.
