Wow...this book was just...BAD! No way will I be finishing up this series. Red was crude and mean and Nicole just took it. And I'm sorry but throwing in an "I love you" doesn't make up for him calling her a s!ut.....twice! He treated her like a wh@re (as much as I hate that term)...that's what he did. This book was not sexy and didn't endear me to Red or Nicole. Beyond all the foolishness of Red and Nicole. The book happened at a break neck pace...which made me feel as if I was on speed.

For me, the story went something like this:
He interviews her...wants her...turns cold on her and kicks her out of his office...calls her and offers her the job...discusses the job with her...tells her that he wants her...demands she calls him sir...to which she does instantly...the proceed to have a clandestine "relationship" with him taking her to a seedy apartment where she is almost raped...calls her a s!ut (x2)...he spanks her and she loves it...*insert sex*...he turns cold again and doesn't speak to her for days...then he wants her again and she kowtows...*insert sex*...she demands a relationship and he takes her to a restaurant while she is dressed like a tramp...takes her back to the seedy apartment...*insert sex*...they go back to work and he ignores her...she gets mad they don't speak for two weeks...he misses her...he finds her in the grocery store takes her to Florida...*insert sex*...he tells her he loves her...*more sex*...*more break neck crazy*...he meets her parents...they hate him...he asks her to marry him...admits he bought the ring one day after meeting her...she says yes...the end.

Now, doesn't that kinda feel like a speed-high? Imagine reading it! My humble opinions.

I should have listened to the reviews and skipped the book but I was curious. Nicole is a recent college graduate interviewing for an internship with multi-millionaire Red Jameson. She's supposed to be naive and innocent and yet she readily jumps into a Dom style relationship with Red without a lot of problems which is completely unbelievable. She's incredibly immature rather than naive and very self-involved (her roommate shows concern and she's a total snot to her). Red is borderline emotionally abusive. He isn't dominant, he's just cruel. I really didn't care for this book. The premise could have worked but the characters just aren't that likeable for me. I won't be purchasing the next book in this serialized book and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

What a waste! The storyline was inconsistent, great one minute, then absolutely horrid the next. The female character was very immature & came across as if she was in junior high. The end of the story was a real letdown. In addition - this day & age, don't we proofread anymore?
I want my $2.99 back!!!

I was looking for a new author - I should have kept looking. Poorly written and the author is clearly riding the Fifty Shades bandwagon. This book makes Fifty Shades seem like great literature by comparison. Save your money and take a chance on another author.

Save your momey and don't buy this awful little book. Here's the precis:
Girl fantasises about billionaire, girl meets said billionaire, they have sex (and I haven't read a more insipid description of a sexual encounter - EVER), they declare their love for each other, there's the requisite interference from controlling parents against which they triumph with flying colors (AND a marriage proposal with requisite enormous rock). Like others have said, flat characters, terrible editing and juvenile storyline (what there is of it).

And the way the "hero"'s character is described, it set off all the red flags of an abuser - grooming his victim, extremely controlling, rushing the relationship, etc. Not that the parents as described are any less controlling...

And this supposedly independent young woman is still sharing a joint bank account with her mother, her parents are paying for her apartment, AND she doesn't utter so much as a peep while the man takes over her life (from her parents).

<sarcasm>
Guess we have to change the meaning of "independent" now
</sarcasm>

I've never written a review about a book, but this one was THAT bad. Elements of the 50 shade books were just thrown in randomly and squeezed together to make a book. I normally respect the author's attempt at writing, even if the book is bad. But, come on. The author didn't even try to create something original. I have an hour free later today, if the publisher wants, I can churn out something in that time that would have to be better than this book. All they have to do is pay me the 99 cents I spent on this rubbish.

I'm actually mad at myself for wasting $0.99 on this book. It is a complete rip off of Fifty Shades, but done very poorly. There is a complete absence of character development. The author simply threw in random scenarios from Fifty Shades. I loved Fifty Shades, but this book is not on the same level - no where close. The story line (if you can call it that), was ridiculous. There are scenes where Red has Nichole dropped off in nothing but a see through dress on a street with pimps and prostitutes all around her - which is supposedly the street where this billionaire lives. I also hated that he called her a slut and she was fine with it. I never do reviews, but this book has a rating of 3.5 on Amazon, which seems crazy to me.
