About the Author

Sarah J. McNeal, a career nurse serving the last seventeen years in the Emergency Room, has retired from nursing and now concentrates on "this thing that brings me such joy—storytelling." With her four-legged companions by her side, she is now able to devote more time to developing new stories, creating interesting characters, and communing with other authors who have a passion for the pen. Harmonica Joe's Reluctant Bride from Western Trail Blazer, Bitter Notes from Amira Press, her new Christmas story – Gifts from the Afterlife in the 2011 Christmas Collection from Victory Tales Press, plus several published short stories are the products of this multi-talented author. Besides the blog on her website, Sarah has a monthly blog at Past The Print titled Sarah’s Provocative Ponderings and at Moonlight Romance Writers. She can also be found on FaceBook and Twitter. Sarah is staying busy and is currently working on her sequel to For Love of Banjo for Western Trail Blazer. To learn more about Sarah and her work, visit her website at http://sarahmcneal.com/

More About the Author

I became interested in writing at a young age. My parents didn't allow us to have a television so my sisters and I became avid readers. We read everything from Shakespeare to my mother's True Detective Stories that, by the way, scared the hell out of me. I submitted my first story and received my first rejection when I was thirteen years old.
Along with writing, I have a deep love of music and play the violin, bagpipes, guitar and harmonica.
I live with my four-legged children, Liberty, my rescue kitty and my golden retriever rescue, Lily. I feed the wild birds around my house and care very much about all creatures of the Earth. I am a member of The Defenders of Wildlife and The ASPCA as well as The Humane Society of the United States.
I write time travel, paranormal and romance novels and love doing the historical research for them. I am presently writing a series of musical instrument stories inspired by my love of music. My Wildings of Wyoming series is under way with book one, Harmonica Joe's Reluctant Bride and coming soon, For Love of Banjo from Western Trail Blazers.
You can also find more information about me at my website: http://www.sarahmcneal.com
Writing brings me a joy and fulfillment that nothing else can. I love creating magical worlds and people who want to make a difference. I hope that anyone who reads them will love them, too.

Except for a borrowed name, how can a man who doesn't know who he is make his way in the world with his head held high and find love and acceptance? Banjo Wilding, taken in as a homeless boy by a generous, loving family, knows his past was unsavory and lonely. When he receives a letter from a stranger in New York, he believes he may have found his father. Now, he hopes to learn what happened to his mother, as well. More than anything he wants to know, not only for himself, but for the love of his life, Maggie O'Leary. If he can only make something of himself, he can heal his soul.
As they story unfolds, Banjo follows a trail of deceit, leading him into danger, and eventually to Europe as a soldier to fight the Germans in The Great War--WWI. Mysterious happenings make him wonder if he doesn't have a guardian angel all along the way. I recommend this sensual, emotional story, with twists and turns that will keep you guessing, turning the pages, and eventually smiling.
