Great book. I could hardly put it down. Sherri-Lee's story is both heartbreaking and inspirational. Her roller-coaster journey took her through an abusive marriage, the agony of alienation from her children, seeking peace, and becoming happily remarried. The author's account of finding her strength, making decisions that no mother should have to make, establishing a balance between dedication to her family and her health and safety, staying positive and maintaining hope offers insight to anyone going through difficult times.

This isn't a story of an alienated mother, this is a story of two boys who grew up without a mother because she chose to have it that way. Now her sons are victims to having their lives exposed. There are several misrepresentations in the book with respect to Edward's family. She also has not changed any names to protect identities as she states in the beginning of her book.

Very inspiring book about how someone can poision your kids against you when you have done nothing but love them. Sad story of a family torn apart by drugs and alchol. The entire family is suffering and continues to suffer. Hopefully there will be a happy ending one day. Very good read.

wonderful human interest book

Loved it, very well written, loved the style, easy to read, made a lot of sense. I think every family especially with teenagers should read it, the kids and the adults. Maybe all the would be zombies out there might come to their senses and attempt to save themselves. A very instructive book about human behavior. A manual for anyone facing emotional blackmail. A truthful look at the demmons passed on from one generation to the next and the utter lack of the system to deal with deviant behavior in our society.

Sometimes it is hard to imagine how some people live through traumatic experiences and why some people stay in an abusive relationship.
This story examines the life of Sherri Lee and the events that made her life unbearable at times. But she was strong and courageous
enough to know what was best for her and her children. She wanted the white picket fence and the trimmings but it wasn't to be.
She became the heroine of her own life story.
This is a well written story that people should read going through a divorce or dealing with troubled teens.
