I met Rusty and his family when Rusty drove a race car at our local tracks. Spent many hours in their company. Never would I have believed that Rusty would write a book. But what a good book it is!! I thought it very well written, it kept my interest from page one. Way to go Rusty.

This simple story of true love and how the power of that love can endure overall else, was a fantastic read. But its not just a story of love but of hard work and achieving all from the life we are given. What an accomplishment to put the thoughts into words and those words onto paper. With the same courage it took to write his novel, he unfortunately had a fight against a horrible disease. Those that read this book will hopefully be as touched as I was.

I read this book and enjoyed it very much. I feel very blessed to say that I knew Rusty. I work for his daughter and bought a hard copy after the book was released but did not want to mess it up so I also bought it and downloaded it to my Kindle. I have since had my mother purchase one as well. The book just had a wonderful story that you could relate to and it made you feel like you were part of what was going on. Mr. Rusty is very much missed but his legacy will forever live on....For a Million Summers!

I bought this only because I grew up watching Rusty Cummings race, after reading the first few pages, I looked at my husband and said, who would have known that ole Rusty Cummings, dirt track race car driver could write a book, but it's good! The more I read the more I wanted to know what's next! I have never sat down and read a book til this one. I am in awe over how incredible this story is.

This is a book written straight from the heart of a great man. In the forward & about the author you learn he was an ordinary man who wrote a novel prior to being diagnosed with a terminal illness, Lou Gehrig's Disease. It is a novel about living your life to the fullest & following your heart throuout life. It appeals to any age group, any gender, no matter where you grew up, you can relate to the main characters. It's a book you won't be able to put down & helps give money toward a great cause, ALS, a terrible disease that needs support to find a cure!!
