Reading In The Wings
"Nicholas Denmon does a great job at crafting a story that really draws you in. For Nothing has everything from dirty cops and larger than life gangsters to assassins and corruption. Feel like you are there... it felt so authentic... I rate the novel as an A because of its thrilling plot (theending blew me away) and well-crafted characters."
From Hodgepodge Galore Book Reviews
A novel of this depth and vision, Nicholas Denmon writes with the maturity and precision of a well-aged author. Whether inside the minds of the men as their lives slowly bleed out or watching precariously while scenes unfold in the disturbing ways the mafia is notorious for, the reader can feel the raw yet emotional toll of the live or die lifestyle... Mafia killers are not known for sloppiness; moreover, they are generally known to be smooth and calculating, which not-so coincidentally describes For Nothing.
From Big Time Books
"For all the Mafia thriller junkies out there...FOR NOTHING is your "fix".
Able to compete with Goodfellas, Sopranos, and The Godfather, Nicolas Denmon has created a story that will have you on the edge of your seat, and unable to put it down.
From LitDrunk Wordpress
"This book was amazing! The dark, artistic cover intrigued me from the moment I first came across it...For Nothing is certainly a page-turner in its own right. Action packed and so well written, it is a thriller that should be ranked with the works of Dennis Lehane and the like. Nicholas Denmon speaks through his characters with a voice that stuns you with every word."
From Doubleshot Book Reviews
"Nicholas Denmon's For Nothing captured me from the amazingly descriptive opening chapter. It is a tale I am thrilled to have gotten a chance to read. It captivated me. It sent shivers down my spine. It made me look over my shoulder to see if Silvio Dante was sneaking up ready to take me out... Denmon's For Nothing is a fantastic story that I highly suggest for fans of mafia based thriller/mysteries or those who just like a really good story."
Nicholas Denmon studied English at the University of Florida. He started story telling from the moment he could talk and has spent a lifetime perfecting the art. His life has been varied, giving him no shortage of material. Some of his unique experiences include growing up with a schizophrenic mother, having six brothers and sisters (of which he is the middle-younger child), a perfectionist father, an evil step-mother, a college life to rival Tucker Max, and working for politicians on the Presidential as well as local stage. He has been, at times, a devout Catholic, a closet atheist, and an honorary member of the Jewish tribe. Nick's joy of art knows little in the way of limitations, as he loves unique paintings, music, acting, film, and of course writing.

Nicholas Denmon, that was excellent. I have never read a mafia tale before, in fact my experience of mafia stories would be limited purely to the silver screen. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Matthew W Harrill

This will surely go down as a crime noir classic. The tone is pure noir: dark, gritty, and simple, but simple in the best conceivable way. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Nadia Valensuela
The lack of closure at the end is a cheap trick to get you to purchase next book in the series. I endured reading this to the end "For Nothing."Published 3 months ago by Brenda1993
For Nothing is a great title, you won't get it until you've read it. Fast pace, real enough to be believable.Published 4 months ago by Baja Jac
